Terms and Conditions

All Students must produce valid/legal learners permit or valid/legal overseas licence upon instructors request, otherwise your instructor has the right to refuse the lesson/test in which case the session shall be forfeited. You must carry your driver’s licence with you at all times when you are driving.

Duration of a standard lesson is 2 hours which includes briefing and de-briefing time and a short break if required. Lessons commence at a pickup point and conclude back at the same pick up point or at another location that has been arranged at time of booking that lesson with your instructor.

You may reschedule or cancel a lesson by providing at least 24 hours’ notice prior to commencement of the lesson. You must call or text your instructor to reschedule or cancel a lesson at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time.

All students are required to be ready to start their lesson at the time booked. If you do not turn up at the agreed time for your lesson your instructor will wait 10 minutes and at the instructor’s reasonable discretion, the lesson time will be forfeited. If you turn up outside these times, your instructor may with reasonable discretion choose not to proceed with the lesson and you will be liable for the cancellation fee.

While your instructor will do everything he can reasonably do to commence your lesson at the scheduled time, no responsibility can be taken for circumstances beyond his control which may result in a delayed start time for your lesson. Depending on time for both parties the lesson will be extended on the day or the lesson time will be made up when convenient or the full lesson can be rescheduled.

Your instructor reserves the right to reschedule a lesson by providing you with reasonable notice by telephone, SMS or email.

You must comply with the reasonable instructions or directions of your instructor at all times.

You must switch off your mobile phone before the lesson starts.

Safe footwear has to be worn while driving. Open footwear, barefoot, or high heels are deemed unsafe for training and driving test purposes. Your instructor has the right to refuse the lesson/test if footwear is not compliant, in which case the session shall be forfeited.

All lessons must be paid for at the start of the lesson unless otherwise agreed with the instructor. If the instructor provides you with a lesson before the lesson fee has been paid in full, any part of the lesson fee outstanding for the lesson is a debt and is due and payable immediately on demand.

It is essential you check with your instructor for availability prior to booking a driving test with Vicroads or you may need to change your test date with Vicroads at your own cost.

It is your responsibility to book the practical driving test appointment with Vicroads as we do not book on your behalf. If in error you have not booked a Vicroads practical driving test appointment correctly, or mistakenly given incorrect details, including incorrect date or time, the session time booked with your instructor is forfeited.

On the day of your Vicroads practical drive test you must have all relevant documentation (including Vicroads appointment receipt, valid Hazard Perception Test (HPT) documents, eye wear and your log book) relating to your personal circumstances and meet the Vicroads criteria and as specified by the Vicroads testing officer/management on the day.

If the Vicroads officer/management does not accept your documents (including insufficient documents) or you do not meet their criteria and the test is rejected, the session time booked with your instructor is forfeited.

A request to switch from automatic transmission to manual transmission and vice versa is possible and can be considered and discussed. Prior notification will be required. The instructor reserves the right to change the lesson time or date to fulfil this request.

If and when you are deemed competent by your Instructor, your Instructor will recommend you book and take your Vicroads practical drive test, however, we give no warranty or guarantee that you will pass a practical driving test with Vicroads.

In the event that our agreed service does not meet your expectations, you agree to give Motorv8 Driving School the opportunity to rectify the situation after your issue is formally raised in writing. All concerns regarding the quality or delivery of our services are required to be lodged in writing.

Motorv8 Driving School may change, update, alter or withdraw any Terms and Conditions as required. These changes will be published on the Website and replace any previous Terms and Conditions.
